Ben Janik is an accomplished guitarist, composer, record engineer, record producer, music educator, and does pretty much everything else quite well.
As a musician, Ben has developed a style that crosses many musical genres. His studies with many great music teachers, including Fareed Haque, Kyle Asche, Art Davis, Kelly Sill, and Matthew Warnock, helped him develop the skills to effortlessly transition between indie rock, free jazz, funk, bebop, and modern classical music.
Ben has also years of experience as a recording engineer. His notable output includes the recording and production of the guitar work on recent Garaj Mahal album Discovery. He is currently working as co-producer on the new Flat Earth Ensemble record, which will be finished soon. Ben was a part of the band Grand and Noble, whom he helped engineer and produce a great record for before leaving the band.
